Charging your vape and troubleshooting: flashing, not hitting, tastes burnt

Most problems with disposable vapes can be solved in a few seconds. Here you can find out how to charge your vape correctly and what to do if it flashes, doesn't hit, or tastes burnt.

Charging your vape correctly

All vapes in our range have a battery with a USB-C port. Here's how to charge them correctly:

  • Use a standard USB power adapter or your laptop's USB port.
  • Charge the vape on a firm, non-flammable surface.
  • Do not leave it unattended while charging and do not leave it plugged in overnight.
  • Do not hit the vape while it is charging.

How long does charging take?

Depending on the battery, between about 20 minutes and an hour. According to the manufacturer, the Vozol Rave 40000 reaches 80% in about 20 minutes. Many models show the battery level – such as the Fumot Vape 12000 with its percentage display or the Vozol Vape 20000 with a touchscreen.

The vape is flashing

For most vapes, flashing is a signal – not a defect. The most common causes:

  • Battery empty: Charge the vape via USB-C.
  • Inhale too long: Many devices shut off after a few seconds of continuous use for protection and flash. Wait a moment, then continue inhaling normally.
  • Liquid empty: On some models, flashing also indicates that the tank is empty.

You can find out exactly what the flashing means for your model in the manual included in the packaging.

The vape won't hit

  • Protection removed? Check if the protective film and silicone plugs on the mouthpiece and bottom have been removed.
  • Battery empty? Charge the vape briefly.
  • Airflow adjusted? On models with adjustable airflow, such as the Al Fakher Vape 40000, a closed air slot can block the draw.
  • Condensation in the mouthpiece? Tap the vape lightly against your hand with the mouthpiece facing down.

The vape tastes burnt

A burnt taste almost always means that the liquid has been used up. The coil then heats up without liquid. If this happens, the vape is empty – time for a new one. Other causes:

  • Too many puffs in a row: The coil does not have time to soak up liquid. Take short breaks between puffs.
  • Power mode with a nearly empty tank: Switch to Eco if your model supports it.

With liquid display models like the Fumot Vape 12000 or the Al Fakher Vape 60000, you can see beforehand when the tank is running low.

The vape is leaking

A little bit of liquid on the mouthpiece is usually condensation and not a leak. Wipe the mouthpiece clean and store the vape upright and out of direct sunlight. High temperatures, such as in a car, can make the liquid thinner.

When should I stop using the vape?

If the casing is bloated, damaged, or the vape gets unusually hot while charging, do not continue to use or charge it. Drop it off at a collection point – you can read how to do that in Disposing of vapes.

Vapes with a display: less guesswork
